This is not a textbook-following C1 course.
This is a guided, high-level coaching programme where the focus is on:

sounding confident and natural while speaking
structuring ideas the way a C1 candidate is expected to
mastering advanced vocabulary and nuance
handling complex global themes with ease
understanding what DALF C1 examiners actually expect

The aim is not just to “prepare for an exam”, but to move you closer to near-native fluency in reasoning and expression.

This is exam-oriented, but without making it mechanical.

2️. Speaking confidence at C1 level

A major focus of this course.

Expressing opinions with nuance
Developing arguments and counter-arguments
Structuring ideas clearly under pressure
Sounding fluid, natural and confident
Learning how to reformulate and elevate your own language

You will speak A LOT.
And more importantly, you’ll learn how to speak better, not just more.

3️. Advanced vocabulary & expression

High-level vocabulary linked to global themes
Natural connectors and transitions
Register awareness (formal, neutral, nuanced)
Expressing subtle ideas without sounding basic
Knowledge and Implementation of advanced level vocabulary in writing & speaking

Vocabulary will be taught in context, not as random lists.

4️. Global themes (in depth)

We will work on global themes that are essential for C1, but often rushed or ignored elsewhere, such as:

society and social issues
feminism and women’s rights
environment and sustainability
education and work
technology, media and ethics
culture, identity and change
global challenges and contemporary debates and many more!

The goal is to make you comfortable discussing any unfamiliar angle, even in the exam.

Important expectations from students:

This is an advanced-level course.
You are expected to:

Have completed B2 properly, a DELF B2 certification is a plus
be consistent
practise outside class a lot!
come prepared for class discussions
be open to correction and feedback

C1 is less about being “taught” and more about being guided in the right direction.

FAQs regarding this course:

1. Which book will we follow?

We will mostly be using our own authentic materials along with selected online resources. The primary reference books for this course are ABC DALF C1 and Le DALF 100% Réussite C1/C2.
PDFs and audio materials will be provided from our end; however, having a hard copy of the books is strongly recommended for effective practice.
After enrollment, we will guide you through the process to avail a discount on these books from Goyal Publishers.

2. If this schedule does not suit me, what should I do?

If this class schedule doesn’t suit you, please note that this is the only schedule we are offering at the moment. To truly support your progress and help you achieve a strong transformation in your language skills, your time commitment and availability are essential. That said, recordings of all live sessions are provided to every student, along with complete study materials, to ensure smooth revision and to help you catch up on any missed classes. You can also stay in touch with us via WhatsApp for guidance and for resolving doubts through text or voice notes. However, we strongly recommend attending the live sessions, as they are by far the most effective way to learn, especially at the C1 level. If this schedule still doesn’t work for you, you’re welcome to wait for a future batch. Please note that C1 batches are not launched very frequently, so if possible, it’s best to make time for this one. The investment of time and effort at this level is truly worth it.

3. Will I be DALF C1 ready after this course?

Under normal circumstances, if you follow the course sincerely, apply all the guidance shared, and complete the assigned homework regularly, you should be DALF C1-ready by the end of the course. That said, reaching this level does require strong immersion and consistent self-study from your end. We also understand that some students may occasionally fall behind or struggle to maintain consistency due to personal or professional commitments. In such cases, after the course ends, it may be possible to book one-on-one support sessions with us at an additional cost, subject to the trainer’s availability.

4. What is the end date of this course?

The course duration will depend on how the sessions progress. It is planned to run for approximately 3.5 to 4 months, with classes held mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. While these days and timings remain largely fixed, there may be occasional, minor adjustments when needed. Any such changes will always be communicated well in advance to ensure everyone can plan accordingly.

5. For how long do I have access to the study materials and recordings.

Lifetime access. We request you to regularly download your study materials and class recordings and save them on your system. This will ensure you continue to have access even after we clear them from our Google Drive (mostly we allow a 15-20 day window so you have ample time to download). We recommend organizing the files by date or session number, as this will make revision much easier and more structured for you.

6. Do we also have offline/in-person classes? What platform is used for online classes?

LingoRelic is a 100% online French teaching platform, and we do not offer any offline classes. All sessions are conducted via Microsoft Teams, and the same meeting link will be used for all classes.

7. Do we also cover pronunciation & grammar in this course?

A C1-level French course is not designed to teach core grammar or pronunciation, as these are expected to be covered at the lower levels. By B1, learners are generally expected to have completed the essential grammar syllabus and to be reasonably comfortable with pronunciation developed during A1 and A2. That said, if you feel the need, we can share brush-up resources from A1 to B2 to help you revise key concepts and strengthen your foundations. This will allow you to approach the C1 level in a more confident and polished manner.
