Sujet : Vous demandez à votre professeur de français s’il est possible d’organiser un week-end « francophone » avec votre classe. Il/ Elle refuse. Vous lui demandez les raisons de son refus puis vous lui expliquez l’intérêt du projet et lui proposez de participer à l’organisation. L’examinateur(trice) joue le rôle du/ de la professeur de français.
SAMPLE DIALOGUE:
Moi : Bonjour Madame/ Monsieur, est-ce qu’il serait possible d’organiser un week-end “francophone” avec notre classe ?
Professeur : Bonjour, je suis désolé(e) mais je ne pense pas que ce soit possible. Nous avons déjà un programme chargé et des sorties prévues.
Moi : Mais je pense que ce serait très bénéfique pour nous d’avoir une immersion complète dans la langue française. Cela nous aiderait à améliorer notre niveau de français et à mieux comprendre la culture française.
Professeur : Je comprends votre point de vue, cependant il y a d’autres manières de pratiquer la langue et de découvrir la culture. De plus, il y a des contraintes budgétaires et administratives pour organiser une telle activité.
Moi : Je ne nie pas, par contre je pense que nous pourrions trouver des solutions pour surmonter ces obstacles. Nous pourrions organiser des activités moins coûteuses et faire appel à des associations francophones pour nous aider.
Professeur : Je vais y réfléchir et voir si cela est faisable. Mais si jamais nous n’arrivons pas à organiser ce week-end, je vous invite à participer aux autres activités et sorties que nous proposons pour améliorer votre niveau de français.
Moi : D’accord, merci beaucoup pour votre temps et votre écoute. J’espère que nous pourrons trouver une solution ensemble.
Professeur : Je vous remercie également pour votre motivation et votre intérêt pour la langue française. Je vais réfléchir à votre proposition et je vous tiendrai au courant.
Moi : D’accord madame/ monsieur, merci. Bonne journée !
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Topic: You ask your French teacher if it is possible to organize a “French-speaking” weekend with your class. He/ She refuses. You ask him/ her the reasons for his/ her refusal then you explain to him the interest of the project and propose to him/ her to participate in the organization. The examiner plays the role of the French teacher.
Me: Hello Sir/ Madam, would it be possible to organize a “French-speaking” weekend with our class?
Teacher: Hello, sorry but I don’t think it’s possible. We already have a busy program and planned outings.
Me: But I think it would be very beneficial for us to have complete immersion in the French language. It would help us improve our level of French and better understand French culture.
Teacher: I understand your point of view, however there are other ways to practice the language and discover the culture. In addition, there are budgetary and administrative constraints to organize such an activity.
Me: I don’t deny that, however I think we could find solutions to overcome these obstacles. We could organize less expensive activities and call on French-speaking associations to help us.
Teacher: I’ll think about it and see if it’s doable. But if ever we are unable to organize this weekend, I invite you to participate in the other activities and outings that we offer to improve your level of French.
